  3. This is my favorite Marvelettes album. The album has the hit's "Playboy", "Beechwood " & the hit flip side "Someday, Someway" & "Forever". I love Glady's Horton raspy edgy sexy voice. "Mix It Up" is a good dance number in which the girls started naming dances that were popular at that time. "I'm Hooked" has a "Do You Love Me" dance beat/5(15).
  4. Beechwood Lyrics: You can have this dance with me / You can hold my hand and / Whisper in my ear sweet words that I love to hear / Don't be shy (Don't be shy) / Just take-a your ti-ime.
  5. "Beechwood " is a song written by Marvin Gaye, William "Mickey" Stevenson and George Gordy. The song became a hit again when it was covered by the pop duo The Carpenters in The song's title is derived from the now-defunct use of telephone exchange names in telephone numbers.
